Turbo Blowers
High efficiency Swam Turbo Blowers are most advanced single stage centrifugal machine based on high speed focused specialized technology oil less operation.
In orderto have any airflow regulating (turndown) range you have to overdesign your blower in pressure. A design pressure far away from the actual working pressure — determined by a fixed, max height of water column, losses in pipe and diffusers. The farther away you operate from your design point, the worse the efficiency. So direct drives with regulation range, never operate in its sweat efficiency spot. The larger the regulation range (e.g. 45-100%) the worse the efficiencies.
In contrast to this, 2-point (vane) controlled machines run with constant speed (e.g. around 3000 rpm in from motor, with speed increasing gearbox geared up to impeller working speed). The airflow regulation is handled by diffuser vanes (on the discharge side of the blower) which change the relative speed of the airflow by means of variable are dynamically shaped diffuser vanes. This relative change of airflow shifts the compressor curve along the flow axis with limited deformations of the compressor curve.
The variable inlet guide vanes (or pre-rotation devise) handle the adjustment to changing head (=pressures and ambient air changes) to optimize the power consumption.
